about the gallery

horace blue was opened in May 2007, by its architect owner, Keith Webber. Keith operates his own architectural practice from the back room of the gallery and is always happy to talk about art, architecture and much more.

Normally, solo exhibitions change monthly and there will be a mixture of local, national and international artists. There is always a small show of mixed word work at the back of the gallery.

Most shows have Private Views, where alcoholic merry-making occurs, sometimes with the accompaniment of live music by Pinky Umbrella or Roger Eno.

We try to show contemporary work, that might not often be seen in other, more commercial galleries. We aim to be fresh, fun and sometimes challenging.

If you wish to exhibit in the gallery, please send examples of your work on paper or disc, or send a link to your website. Selections for 2009 will be made in the late Summer of 2008.
